Virginia Adams

July 22, 1940 — December 4, 2012

Hastings resident, Virginia L. Adams, 72, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, December 10, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to the family. Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, December 9, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Virginia was born July 22, 1940 in Pierce County, Nebraska. Her parents were Erma (Urwin) and Earl Wragge. She graduated from Pierce High School in 1958 and moved to Hastings in 1960. Virginia attended Central Community College in Hastings where she received her Associates Degree in Accounting and Data Processing and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She married Allen O. Adams on August 30, 1969 in Hastings; he preceded her in death on July 26, 2011. Virginia served in the U.S. Navy. She was a homemaker and secretary and did accounting work for various businesses in Hastings. Virginia was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She loved listening to music, playing the organ, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen O. Adams; and son, Bruce Kirstine.
