Virginia "Ginger" Craft

Hastings resident Virginia Joan “Ginger” Craft, 87, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, December 20, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Trumbull. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday with family present 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Ginger was born August 25, 1931, in Custer County, NE to Jacob & Barbara (Seng) Sittler. She graduated from Juniata High School in 1948. Ginger married Gilbert Craft on February 14, 1949; he preceded her in death on August 15, 1987. Ginger was employed as a psychiatric tech at Hastings Regional Center. She was a past Grand Chief of Nebraska Pythian Sisters.

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert Craft; daughter, Vicki; grandsons, Robby and Jonathan; and great-granddaughter, Jessica.
