Waldeen Eigenberg

June 18, 1923 — December 31, 2008

Lifetime area resident, Waldeen 'Ike' Eigenberg, 85, of 1620 Crestmoor Dr., died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion in Hastings.

Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2009; 9:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in the Glenvil Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2009, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Glenvil Cemetery Association.

Mr. Eigenberg was born June 18, 1923 in Adams County, Nebraska to Rudolph H. and Katie L. (Fisher) Eigenberg. He married Gladys M. Saathoff February 14,1945. Mr. Eigenberg was a lifetime resident of Adams and Clay counties and a retired farmer. He was a past member of the school board and Church council serving as Sunday School Treasurer. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and loved being around people.

Mr. Eigenberg was preceded in death by his parents.
