Walter Frerichs, 77, of 302 E. 11th, Juniata, Nebraska, died Monday, May 21, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, May 26, 2001; 10:00 A.M. Juniata United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska.

Walter Frerichs was born May 23, 1923 in Adams County, Nebraska to John & Lizzie (Hinrikus) Frerichs. He graduated from Juniata High School in 1941 and married Ray Celia Overfield on April 6, 1944. He was a retired farmer, life long Juniata area resident and a member of Juniata United Methodist Church. He was a past member of the Juniata School Board, Rural Fire Board and the Knights of Pythias.

Walter Frerichs was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Marie, Edna and Lillian and 3 brothers, George, Dale and Bob.
