Wanola A Myers

Hastings resident Wanola A. Myers, 95, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Rev. Tamara Holtz officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. A book signing will be 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Wanola was born July 20, 1927, in Martinsville, MO to Owen and Eppa (Millholland) Young. She graduated in 1947 from Martinsville High School. Wanola married Charles Wilson in 1948; they later divorced. Charles passed away in 1981. She married Lyle F. Myers on August 16, 1984; he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church, Eagles, and Knights of Pythias.

Wanola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle F. Myers; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis R. and Linda Wilson; step-son, Roger Myers; step-son-in-law, Ron “Kelly" Preston; grandson, Tom Wilson; and sister, Mary M. Allen.
