Wayne Laux

Hastings resident, Wayne R. Laux, 93, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at The Kensington, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, October 6, 2014; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger and Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Sunday, October 5, 2014; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home. Visitation will also be one hour prior to service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church.

Wayne was born July 22, 1921 in Adams County, Nebraska to Roy & Carrie (Schoolcraft) Laux. He married Genevieve M. Casteel on October 30, 1953 in Raton, New Mexico. Wayne was a farmer and dairyman and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Maxine Kennedy.
