William Koepke

William Hugh 'Bill' Koepke, 75, of 719 S. Kansas, died Monday, March 3, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion. Services will be Friday, March 7, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. William H. 'Bill' Koepke was born November 7, 1927 in Hastings, Nebraska to William Albert & Mabel Fern (Rieke) Koepke. He was baptized November 20, 1927 and confirmed on May 18, 1941 at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska. He attended Zion Lutheran School through the 8th grade and graduated from Hastings High School in 1945. He served in the United States Army from March 1946 through September 1947. He married Rogene B. Garrelts at Zion Lutheran Church on May 20, 1951. He operated Koepke Auto Repair for 22 years. He later was a salesman for Friends Motor Supply for 21 years until his retirement. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, United Commercial Travelers and Order of Bagmen, National Rifle Association and V.F.W.

William H. 'Bill' Koepke was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter Janice Dorenne.
