William McLeod

Rural Juniata resident, William C. "Bill" McLeod, 85, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at his home.

Services will be Thursday, January 6, 2011; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be Thursday, January 6, 2011; 2:00 P.M. in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Bill was born January 10, 1925 at home in rural Adams County, Nebraska to Malcolm & Johanna (Boltz) McLeod. He attended Adams County District 45 Hayland through 8th grade. On November 2, 1958 he married Klara H. Scheer at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They had one son, William M. McLeod. He was a lifelong farmer beginning in 1939 with his father. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Bill served as President of the Adams County District 81 Prosser Board of Education from 1968 until 1976. He was a long time member of the American Polled Hereford Association and was one of the first members of the Adams County Farm Bureau.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
