William Svoboda

William Svoboda, 86, of Good Samaritan Village, died Friday, November 7, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Monday, November 10, 2003; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 11, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

William Svoboda was born September 6, 1917 in Lawrence, Nebraska to Anton & Francis (Juranek) Svoboda. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1935 and on September 11, 1939, married Hildegard Venhause at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence, Nebraska. She preceded him in death in 2002. They farmed in the Lawrence & Blue Hill, Nebraska area before moving to Good Samaritan Village in 1983. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska

William Svoboda was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Hildegard, two sisters and two brothers.
