Hastings resident, Wilma L. Boon, 88, of 800 East 'E', #8, died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at her home.
Services will be Thursday, January 20, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. William Deahl, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Boon was born March 4, 1916 in Reamsville, Kansas, to Alda J. & Matilda (Schwarz) Bennett. She graduated from Franklin High School, Franklin, Nebraska. She married Charles W. Boon on September 14, 1936 in Norton, Kansas and he preceded her in death in December of 1981. She was a homemaker and a cashier for Kresge Dime Store in Des Moines, Iowa for 15 years, retiring in 1980. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1986. She attended First United Methodist Church in Hastings and was a member of the Eagle's and was a past president of Eagle's Auxiliary, and volunteered at Good Samaritan Village Library.
Mrs. Boon was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, two sisters, Ocho Johnson, Lucille Bennett, one brother, Elmo Bennett, two sons-in-law, Eldon Fox & Don Goltz.
