Wilma Calkins

April 9, 1919 — March 5, 2005

Hastings resident, Wilma L. Temps Calkins, 85, of 527 Lane 'D', died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at her home.

Services will be Thursday, March 10, 2005; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ms. Calkins was born April 9, 1919 in Marysville, Kansas to William & Lucy (Corning) Temps. She graduated from Marysville High School and attended nursing school in Marysville, Kansas. On September 9, 1939, she married William F. Calkins and they later separated. She was a homemaker and a day care provider at The Children's Ark at Good Samaritan Village and a foster grandparent. She was a devoted member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Ms. Calkins was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Walinger; a brother, William Temps and two sons at birth.
