Hastings resident, Wilma M. Miller, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Anthony Godtel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.
Wilma was born July 16, 1922 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska to William E. & Mary M. (Kolbet) Lamborn. She attended school in Hastings. In 1938, Wilma moved to Hastings from Blue Hill, Nebraska. On June 7, 1941 she married Henry L. Miller; he preceded her in death on July 25, 2005. Wilma worked in a café, was a bartender, and a homemaker. Wilma was also a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and Eagles Auxiliary.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry L. Miller; son, Henry William Miller; grandson, Larry G. Miller, Jr.; two sisters; and four brothers.
