Wilma Uden

Hastings resident, Wilma Ruth (Dankert) Uden, 80, of 1911 West 9th, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at her home.

Services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl H. Rehwaldt officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2007; 1PM-9PM, Monday, May 7, 2007; 9AM-9PM with family present 6PM-9PM at the funeral home & Tuesday, May 8, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska or Christ Lutheran Church, rural Juniata, Nebraska.

Mrs. Uden was born January 4, 1927 on a farm south of Palmer, Nebraska to Herbert & Anna (Nietfeld) Dankert. She attended grade school at Worms Nebraska and graduated in May of 1940. Wilma did housework and worked at Model Laundry in Grand Island, Nebraska until she married Paul J. F. Uden on November 23, 1947 in Worms, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2003. They lived 10 miles northwest of Hastings on the farm for 40 years, before retiring in Hastings in 1986. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Worms until 1947, Christ Lutheran Church, Juniata until 1987 and presently, Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings.

Mrs. Uden was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, son Roy, granddaughter Tishanna, sisters, Mildred, Lorraine, Florence and brothers Elton, Melvin & Alfred.
